CatonXchange brings both ASI and Ethernet I/O into a single appliance with the ability to simultaneously transmit out to Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), record external USB storage and other Caton Devices.

 

CatonXchange utilizes the Caton Engine’s R2TP protocol for world-class reliable transmission of carrier-quality video over any IP network. Global delivery of the most demanding video is now plug and play.

 

With full I/O support of major IP and ASI standards, CatonXchange also supports a wide variety of IO configurations including HTTP, ASI, RTMP and UDP.  A user friendly, browser-based interface allows for easy configuration and remote control.

Caton Engine’s R2TP is an IP-based transport protocol designed specifically to solve QoS/QoE problems for live data transmission over the Internet. Applying highly advanced network congestion control techniques, R2TP maximizes Bandwidth Utilization Ratio (BUR) for high-quality content over nearly any given bandwidth.

 

R2TP applies highly efficient error correction  mechanisms by combining a variant Automatic Repeat Request [ARQ] retransmit method and Caton’s Adaptive Network Code (ANC) engine to ensure highly reliable transmissions with lower latency.

 

Overcome packet loss, jitter and delay with Caton Engine’s advanced transmission protocols, guaranteeing reliable transmission of your high bitrate video over the Internet or other IP networks.

CatonXchange is format, resolution, and codec independent. Conversion and transmission support for all digital media formats from web to broadcast.

CatonXchange has built-in real-time TS monitoring to log TS Sync Loss, Sync Byte, and Continuity Count Errors.  All logs can be exported as CSV files.
