The turnkey service provides encoding, IP transmission over Caton’s global infrastructure and the decoding system for the destination theatres. Caton is an industry leader in IP transport solutions. Its high-performance encoding and delivery software is built on the [Caton Transport Protocols (CTP)](https://www.catontechnology.com/en/technology/caton-transport-protocols), multiple unique algorithms which use machine learning as well as advanced technology to achieve unrivalled quality and stability, even across the public internet. To boost the global reach of the solution, Caton has also established the [CatonNet Video Platform (CVP)](https://www.catontechnology.com/en/platform/catonnet-video-platform) a media network linking points of presence in all the major markets in the world. Using CVP and the internet where required, Caton Live Stage provides a very high quality of service, even for video resolutions up to 4K with 7.1 immersive sound. [Avex Pictures](https://www.avex-pictures.co.jp) has been expanding its business, bringing music and film experiences to their audience. More recently, it has served audiences globally by implementing live viewings of high quality live performances, and offering them to extended audiences in cinemas, often on the other side of the world. Using Caton Live Stage it can deliver excellent results, with each event reaching different combinations of theatres in multiple markets. “Caton provides everything we need for delivery,” said Satoko Tanaka, International Sales of Avex. “We provide our feed to Caton: they encode it, transport it around the world with very low latency for immediacy, then support cinemas with decoders and guidance to sign on to Caton Live Stage. The platform is completely secure, and the stunning video and audio quality really brings the excitement of the live event to huge numbers of people, in many theatres, in many locations.” Gerald Wong, Senior Vice President, Global Operations of Caton Technology added “Avex is an absolute master at picking and promoting the most popular trends in music, fashion, anime and more. They asked us to work with them because we could take responsibility for all the underlying service and technology – from the source feed to the decoder connecting to the projector in the cinema – which allows them to delight their audiences. “Through CVP we have points of presence in more than 60 countries and we can connect over 6,000 screens worldwide to enjoy live content simultaneously,” Gerald Wong added. “Caton Live Stage is a simple way that content owners like Avex can simplify their operations with a single point of contact for every step of the way from their cameras to projectors around the world.” Do you know of someone who may be interested in this?
